Boulder Ridge Golf Club Wedding | San Jose, CA

Minh and Hobart | Boulder Ridge Golf Club Wedding Photos | San Jose, CA

Minh and Hobart’s December wedding was an all day affair! Their day of celebrating included two ceremonies, two receptions, and four dresses!. The day started off with a traditional Vietnamese Tea Ceremony in the morning at Minh’s parents house in San Jose. Then, later that day, they had their second wedding ceremony and wedding reception at the Bolder Ridge Golf Club in San Jose. Boulder Ridge is an all inclusive Wedgewood Wedding Venue, nestled up in the hills of San Jose that boasts a beatiful ceremony lawn space with an arbor, a ballroom style indoor reception space with a fireplace, and most notably, breathtaking views of the city of San Jose below.

Minh, from San Jose, and Hobart, who grew up on the East Coast, met in college while they were studying to be doctors. They both come from big families who were there with them in San Jose to celebrate their love and their marriage. It was a grand celebration!

Minh’s three best friends stood by her as her bridesmaids. They each wore a different style blush colored dressess. Minh chose wedding flowers featuring pink and white roses, white calla lillies, and a touch of tiny blue flowers for the wedding boquets and decor. The ladies had a lot of fun getting ready together in the bridal suite at Boulder Ridge Golf Club. Minh changed into her second wedding dress of the day for her first look with Hobart and for the evening wedding ceremony.

While Minh and her bridesmaids were getting ready inside the bridal suite, Hobart and his groomsmen were passing the time together outside on the grounds of Boulder Ridge Golf Club. Hobart’s groomsmen consisted of his two brothers and his best friend. The men spent the waiting time sharing some beers, sharing some jokes, and blowing up some balloons for the guest book table.

Minh and Hobart’s first look was so sweet! The grounds of the Boulder Ridge Golf Club made for a gorgeous backdrop for the first look photos and their bridal party looking on from the sidelines was the perfect touch. Minh came up to Hobart from behind gave him a hug, and then he turned around and saw her in her dress. His joyful look says it all, don’t you think?

When couples choose to do a first look, that allows us to do bridal party and couple portraits before the ceremony. This can be a great time saver, especially for a December wedding like Minh and Hobart’s because we run out of daylight so quickly in the winter months.

The ceremony started just as the sun was starting to set creating a soft blue light. Minh and Hobart said I do under the arbor of the Boulder Ridge Golf Club with the San Jose city lights twinkling in the background. Guests showered the happpy newlyweds with bubbles during their recessional.

Now it was time to relax and celebrate! Minh and Hobart joined their guests outside on the patio for cocktail hour. Inside the reception space, Minh and Hobart chose a sweetheart table with a gorgeous flower arrangement featuring pink roses, white calla lillies, and touches of blue. The kept it simple and elegant with an all white three layer wedding cake with John Legend lyrics adorned on top.

Before it was time for the grand entrance, Minh snuck away to the bridal suite to change into her third dress of the day. We took took a few nighttime portraits in the new dress before everyone went inside for dinner. For the end of the night dance party, Minh changed into her fouth and final dress of the day.

Congratulations to Minh and Hobart!!! We were so thrilled to spend the day with this amazing couple and capture their San Jose wedding celebration at Boulder Ridge Golf Club! Be sure to check out the photos from their Traditional Tea Ceremony too.
